The Tridevi, also known as the “Three Goddesses” in the Hindu tradition, are a divine trio composed of Lakshmi, Saraswati and Parvati. Each of these deities represents distinct aspects of the divine feminine, which are essential to Hindu mythology.
Lakshmi is known as the goddess of prosperity, wealth and abundance. She is worshipped to attract good fortune, success and material prosperity. She is traditionally depicted holding lotus flowers and gold coins, symbolising purity and fortune.
Saraswati is the goddess of wisdom, knowledge, music and the arts. She is revered by scholars, artists and musicians. She is often depicted holding a musical instrument, the veena, and is frequently accompanied by a swan, symbolising discernment and purity.
Parvati, also known as Devi, Shakti or Durga, is the goddess of love, power and renewal. She is often depicted alongside the god Shiva, her husband, and is also the mother of Ganesha. Parvati represents feminine strength and takes on many different forms and roles, from the goddess of love to a fierce warrior.
May wealth, wisdom and love intertwine.
May the journey of life unfold gracefully.
May, under the benevolent gaze of the Tridevi, our journey unfold like an eternal song, reminding us that we are part of something greater, woven into a divine dance that transcends time and space.
May prosperity, wisdom and love guide our steps, transforming our journey into a unique and precious masterpiece.
This is the beginning of an original project created in collaboration with Inês (@incalma), my student and someone I quietly observe and deeply admire. Through my writing and her drawings, we seek to explore and share the many facets of the philosophy of Yoga., onde através da minha escrita e do seu desenho procuramos explorar e dar a conhecer as diversas facetas da filosofia do Yoga.
I believe that the physical and inner expression inherent to Yoga can also help awaken our creativity. It was from this belief, together with the etymology of Yoga (meaning “union”) that I sought to translate this creative impulse, born from my daily journey of sharing Yoga, into this collaborative project.
We hope it inspires you in some way too. 💛
